Aside from the playing successes, a Lottery Grant obtained through Sport England's Playing Fields and Community Green Spaces Programme has enabled the Club to carry out significant and much needed drainage work on both our pitches during the summer of 2003. Hopefully water-logged playing surfaces causing cancelled matches will now be consigned to history. In addition a grant and a loan from the Rugby Football Foundation have made it possible to erect floodlights on our first team pitch. Contributions, in the form of grants, have also been received from High Peak Borough Council and Derbyshire County Council in respect of these projects. It is the intention to have regular floodlit games throughout the season - who knows we may be able to re-introduce a fourth team and a vet's team. We do not intend to rest on our laurels though and our next project is the building of a new Clubhouse. Consultation meetings are already taking place with a view to design and funding.
